If you have any active monitoring such as Bitdefender or AVG running, try turning it off temporarily to see if that fixes it. Sometimes antivirus software gets a bit confused and interferes with legitimate programs. Disable antivirus and other extraneous software Oh, and while you're at it, stop ignoring that Windows update notification and let it do its thing. Then install the latest drivers and try again. Run that (you don't need to be in Safe Mode) and tell it to clear out all your AMD, Intel, and/or Nvidia drivers (one run each). If that fails, it's also a good idea to do a full graphics driver cleaning, for which we recommend Display Driver Uninstaller. (You should have the latest drivers anyway, as AMD, Nvidia, and even Intel make changes to better support new games.) Without suitable hardware, you'll need to upgrade your PC before you can play the game. Settle doubts or questions by checking the game's support or fan forums for help. Wikipedia is also a great source of video game system specs, while the publisher's website will provide the same information. Otherwise, you'll probably experience problems with the title. If your PC meets these before installing and running the game everything should be fine. Buying from a video game store? When buying games online from Steam and similar services, you can check the system requirements by reading the game's description. You wouldn't buy diesel for a petrol-powered car, would you? So why buy a video game without checking that it will work? It might seem obvious, but people still omit to compare their system spec with a game's minimum requirements.
